South Africa announce squad for Champions Trophy 2025

An undated picture of South African cricket squad. - AFPSouth Africa on Monday announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan and the UAE, with Temba Bavuma named as captain.After finishing as runners-up in last year's ICC Men's T20 World Cup and reaching the final of the World Test Championship 2023-25, the team is ready for another major challenge. The squad is strengthened by the return of key pace bowlers Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi.Nortje’s inclusion marks his return to ODI cricket following recovery from a stress fracture in his back, which had kept him out since September 2023.
